I enjoyed reading your blog. We need many more people like you who try to preserve Gujarati language and culture in places far away from India. Influence of western culture, particularly on young Indians in overeas countries, is too great and it needs to be reversed to some extent by efforts of people like youselves. Keep up the good work.

Ministry of Communications and Information Technology તરફથી તા. ૧લી મે, ૨૦૦૮ના રોજ સંખ્યાબંધ નવા ગુજરાતી યુનિકોડ (ઓપન ટાઈપ તેમ જ ટ્રુ ટાઈપ)ફોન્ટ વિવિધ પ્રકારના ગુજરાતી સોફ્ટવેર ટૂલ્સ સાથે રિલીઝ કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. જે સરકારી વેબ સાઈટ પર આ સાહિત્ય ફ્રી ડાઉનલોડ માટે મૂકવામાં આવ્યુ છે તેની લિન્ક આ પ્રમાણે છે : http://www.ildc.gov.in/Gujarati/index.aspx માવજીભાઈને આ ફોન્ટ તેમ જ અન્ય ટૂલ્સ ઘણાં ગમ્યા છે અને બધાને તેનો લાભ લેવાનો તેમનો અનુરોધ છે. આ સરકારી વેબ સાઈટની ગુજરાતી ભાષા ઘણી ખરાબ છે પણ સાથે અંગ્રેજીમાં સૂચનાઓ આપી છે તો તે વાચી તમારું નામ રજિસ્ટર કરાવવા અને ડાઉનલોડનો લાભ લેવા માવજીભાઈની ખાસ ભલામણ છે.

I am happy to inform you that Just last month we have published an autobiography of DINKER PANDYA.. PURANI MANDAL and Remniceince Of Gadhian Era and my expereinces.
Dinker pandya was a Dary Tech from Berkly Uni and stayed in USA for 8 long years and returned to India in 1928 and joined joined Gachiki Sabarmati Ashram .and also marched with Ghandiji to Dandi for salt satyagrah.
There are many episodes and his association with Purani mandal which may be of your interst . Preface is written by Darshak and avakar is written by Gulabdas Broker.
If you have some freinds who still belive in Gadhain thoughts and history of freedom movment in Gujarat and heroic deeds of the gem of people who sacroficed for the cause of freedom you will find this documentroy Book quite intersting

કુશળ હશો. આપના બ્લોગની મુલાકાત લેતો રહુ છું આનંદ આવે છે. આપ અમેરિકામાં બેઠા બેઠા ગુજરાતી ભાષામાટે ખૂબજ કાર્યશીલ રહી સમય ફાળવો છો જે અન્યો માટે પ્રેરણારૂપ બની રહેવું જોઈએ. આમ તો આપણે હમણાં મેલથી મળતા રહી એ છીએ આનંદ આવે છે. મને મારી એકલતામાં આ પ્રવૃતિએ ખૂબજ સહારો આપ્યો છે અને માનસિક કંઈક નવું વિચારવા ઉપરાંત કોઈક સાથે શેર કરવામાં વિશેષ મજા આવે છે. અને રચનાત્મક કાર્ય કરવામાં સમય પસાર કરવાની કોઈ સમસ્યા ઉભી થતી નથી.
ખેર ! જીવન તો આમ જ વહ્યુ જશે ! આવજો ફરી મળીશું

આપની સાથે છેલ્લી મુલાકાત કર્ણાવતીમાં તમે તમારા પુત્રના વીઝા માટે મુંબઇ જતા હતા ત્યારે થઇ હતી. રીટાયર્ડ થયા પછી પણ તમારો જુસ્સો એજ હતો. એક હથોડા છાપ એન્જીનીયર હોવા છતા ગુજરાતી ભાષા પ્રત્યેનો લગાવ મને તમારા બ્લોગ સુધી લઇ આવ્યુ. પહેલા એક બે વખત તમારૂ નામ વાંચેલુ પરંતુ એ તમેજ હશો એવી કલ્પના નહોતી. તમારો ફોટો જોઇને ખબર પડી કે આ તો અમારા જાની સાહેબ છે. ખુબ જ આનંદ થયો. તમારી આ ઉંમરે આટલુ બધુ કામ કરતા જોઇને આસ્ચર્ય થાય છે. પરંતુ તેમા નવાઇ નથી તમે કરેલા સારા કર્મોનુ ફળ મળે છે.પ્રભુ તમને લાબીં આવરદા આપે એજ પ્રાર્થના-વિપુલ દેસાઇ
